Since I shared my wedding crafts (here&here) I thought I'd share how it all came together in the end. We didn't initially decide on red and white, but the tent we ordered happened to be those colours. Seeing as they are the national colours for both Denmark and Canada, it seemed fitting, and we went with it. We covered all the tables in white table cloths, and then laid a butcher paper runner over top of them. I picked the bridesmaid with the best hand-writing and had her write everyone's name in lieu of place cards. We also used butcher paper to create bunting for both behind, and in front of the head table. As the weather worsened the day before the wedding, we used streamers and more bunting to create a make-shift indoor backdrop for the wedding itself. It came together perfectly, everything from the gold cans, the re-purposed jars, the stencilled napkins, the butcher paper bunting and the simplicity of baby's breath as our flower choice, created the exact clean but rustic quality that fits with a country wedding, without being too country wedding (if you know what I mean...)

ReplyDeleteI *love* that you wrote the guest's name on the table like that! So gorgeous and clever. Congratulations on the wedding!
ReplyDeletePerfect perfect perfect understated and beautiful wedding venue! It looks exactly like the set-up for Midsummer on the west coast of Sweden I attended last year, which is the highest compliment as that was one of the most charmed weekends of my life, and I'm sure that your wedding was the same for you.
